Don Melton’s video transcoding scripts

A while ago I wrote about how I rip Blu-Rays for use with iTunes and Plex. At the time, I was focused on the apps MakeMKV and HandBrake, though I mentioned Don Melton’s transcoding scripts in passing.

The last couple of days I’ve been converting the most recent season of “Doctor Who” to video files, and I’ve been using Don’s scripts. If you’re at all comfortable with the command line, I highly recommend combining MakeMKV with Don’s scripts, which create large, high-quality files without requiring you to fuss with HandBrake settings.
