‘It’s Spring Break forever’

I’ll grant you, this is not a site you visit to read restaurant reviews. (And I’ve only been tempted once before to post one, because Pete Wells’ takedown of Guy Fieri’s Times Square restaurant was just hilarious in its own right.)

But consider this a New Year’s Week exception to the rule, because this review of Señor Frog’s restaurant in Times Square—again by Wells at the New York Times—made me laugh out loud.

It begins with the particularly gonzo line “I was having my second Frogasm of the night when dinner got weird,” and goes from there. If you’re looking for restaurant reviews with references to Goethe, the Kennedy assassination, and Mexican jails, this one’s for you.
