An automation anthem
The Internet’s Dr. Drang explains the reason so many of us—myself included—build tools to help us automate tasks, with a link to a John D. Cook post on the subject.
As Dr. Drang points out, automation isn’t just about saving time, but about saving concentration and increasing accuracy. This is actually why I use Markdown rather than writing directly in HTML—not that I don’t know HTML, but I find the Markdown syntax much less prone to my own errors.
