My TiVo now streams to my Mac
One of the downsides of the mobile app revolution is that sometimes there’s no desktop equivalent for a feature that’s available on mobile. While I can watch live TV and play back recorded shows from my TiVo Roamio DVR on my iPad and iPhone, I haven’t been able to do the same on my Mac.
Today, that changed, thanks to the release of TiVo Online, which lets TiVo DVRs stream video to a web browser window. I tried it out this morning and it works just fine. And now I can work with video of my local team’s baseball game playing up in the corner of my iMac.
