This week’s Six Colors feed sponsor is Yosemite by CocoaConf, a conference for the Apple community held in Yosemite National Park April 20-23, 2015.
Jason Snell of Six Colors will be there, along with 16 other amazing people from the Apple community. The roster of speakers will feature some of the best and most-loved writers, designers, philosophers, and developers working in the Apple ecosystem.
There will be guided hikes and a photo walk led by TED photographer James Duncan Davidson. And James Dempsey of James Dempsey and the Breakpoints will be doing a “Breakpoint Jam.”
Those familiar with CocoaConf know that their developer events are mostly about code. Yosemite is mostly about beauty. Beautiful designs, beautiful words, beautiful scenery, and yes, beautiful code.
That’s why the location is so perfect. Right in the heart of Yosemite Valley, surrounded by towering sequoias and majestic rock structures like El Capitan, Half Dome, and Glacier Point. The beautiful upper Yosemite Falls is in view from the conference grounds, and in late April, it should be at peak flow. It’s going to be awesome!
CocoaConf has been organizing conferences for Apple developers for almost four years, but they’ve never held an event quite like this. Yosemite is a conference at the intersection of technology, the liberal arts, and nature.
